Journalism has long been at the center of my universe and life. Somewhere along the line I got bitten by the bug called new media and ever since I've looked for opportunities to help shape new editorial products and products that will become solutions for our industry and for our communities. I'd been watching Patch since it was founded and jumped at the opportunity to join the team as the West Coast Editorial Director. Today there are more than 150 sites in California and Washington state.
Local news rocks. It's important to our lives. I live in a Patch town, San Ramon, and I'm surrounded by other Patch towns where I shop, play, and dine. My husband is also a journalist. We have three daughters, several grandchildren, and a big extended family.
Email me with story ideas or thoughts on our California sites -- marcia@patch.com
