Keepataw Days 2013: Your Complete Guide to Lemont's Annual Labor Day Festival

The 65th annual Keepataw Days Festival will run Friday through Monday in the historic downtown area.

Summer may be winding down, but there's still one last chance for some good, old-fashioned festival fun in downtown Lemont.

The 65th annual Keepataw Days Festival will kick off Friday afternoon, and we have your complete guide to the weekend-long event.

Where

The festival will be located in downtown Lemont in the Metra Train Station parking lot, on Canal Street and Bossert Drive.

When

Friday, Aug. 30: 6 p.m. to midnight

Family Fun

Rides and games will be provided by Alpine, Inc. Kids can enjoy unlimited rides for $20 from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday through Monday. Unlimited rides are $15 during the Last Blast (Monday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.).

  • 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Dave Flemming Variety Show (Magic, balloons, juggling)
  • 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Free face painting

Beer Garden

Beer garden entry is $5 nightly. Guests must be 21 years or older to enter the beer garden after 6 p.m. There are no lawn chairs allowed after 6 p.m.

Alpine Amusements: Traditional carnival food, such as popcorn and corn dogs.

Little Jimmy's Italian Ice: Italian ice, chiecken fingers

Zacarelli's Pizza: Pizza, beef sandwiches and hot wings

Little China Express: Variety of Asian cuisine

The Tidal Crave: Smoothies, shaved ice and hot dogs

The annual Keepataw Days Parade will start at 1 p.m. Monday in downtown Lemont. This year's theme is "Retro '60s"
