29 Lemont High School Students Named AP Scholars

Students were recently honored for their outstanding achievement on Advanced Placement exams in May 2011.

A near-record 29 students from Class of 2011 have been recognized as AP Scholars for their outstanding achievement on Advanced Placement exams in May 2011.

The mark comes just short of Lemont's  in 2010.

Through the Advanced Placement Program, students are able to take college-level courses while still in high school. Depending on their performance on AP exams, they can earn college credit, advanced placement at the college level — or both.

A portion of the AP curriculum is taught through all four years of the school's Honors English track.
