For almost 50 years, Montessori School of Lemont has nurtured the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual development of children from age three through ninth grade according to the methods and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.The Montessori approach to education dates back over 100 years and is based on a sensory approach that compliments all learning styles including visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Classes are based on three year age cycles with the same teacher, allowing for individualized learning and differentiated instruction in a beautiful and responsive environment. The activity rich classrooms encourage movement, collaboration, and freedom within limits. MSOL is located on 7.5 acres of donated land with a natural playground, nature trails, an organic community garden, and chicken coop.
