I have been a dancing since the age of four, and began my professional ballet, pointe training and career, at the age of eight. Under the direction of  Lorel Hessler, former Principal dancer for ABT and the Royal Hawaiian Ballet, I became a competitive ballet/pointe dancer and went on to win several local and national titles, including first place awards through Showstopper, Starpower, Spotlight Dance and contests through the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts, and National Association of Dance.

I later attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb majoring in Dance and Fine Arts and was a member and choreographer for the Northern IL Company Dancers.

I have been teaching dance at the professional level, for over 25 years (including ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, instruction in dance technique for gymnasts and ice skaters.)  In 1997, I was hired to transform the pompon squad at Lemont High School, into what now are the JV and Varsity Dance teams.  In just one year, the Varsity team qualified in the dance category, for the Illinois State Championship.

I am a very passionate and technical dance teacher, but also a loving wife, mother of three, and step-mother to three more!  I believe that dancers should have discipline, but more so, simply enjoy and love dance class.  I teach that kindness to others, a positive attitude and a solid self-esteem, are the keys to success in the studio but also in life.
