Village Website Posts Market/Impact Study for Proposed Sports Complex

Study analyzes demographics and demand potential, sports leagues and comparable facilities, and assesses economic and fiscal impact on community.

The Village of Lemont has posted on its website a market and impact study on a sports complex proposed for downtown Lemont. As previously reported in Patch, the estimated $21 million sports complex is planned for a 26.3 parcel of land (the former Tri Central Marine Terminal) roughly bounded by the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal and Industrial Park Drive, from the end of Stephen Street north of the post office and continuing west under the Lemont Street bridge and beyond. Seems to be some select cherry picking.....the report doesn't know what they are talking about in certain instances, but is spot on in others... I don't see where this report says this will fail except when compared to the largest outdoor facilities in the country.
