Super Bowl Sunday: Where to Watch the Big Game and Catch Some Deals, Too

Illinois Bar and Grill to be Featured on 'Windy City Live'

The restaurant will be included in a segment on Chicago's best burgers, according to owner Frank Vrchota.

Illinois Bar and Grill will be featured on the ABC 7 morning show Windy City Live on Thursday, according to the restaurant's Facebook page. The restaurant—which has three locations, including 1131 State St. in Lemont— will be showcased during a segment on Chicago's best burgers, owner Frank Vrchota tells Patch. According to the Windy City Live website, producers Matt and Ji will share their picks for best burgers for the show's "Food Fight" series. Windy City Live airs at 9 a.m. every weekday on ABC Chicago, and is hosted by Ryan Chiaverini and Val Warner.  Can't watch the show live? Save Some Green with Local St. Patrick's Day Specials

Lemont businesses are celebrating the Irish holiday Saturday with food and drink specials, live entertainment and activities for the whole family.

From Irish beer to corned beef and cabbage, local restaurants are celebrating St. Patrick's Day with a variety of deals and special events. Here's a roundup of some specials around Lemont: The restaurant will host its second annual Shamrocks and Shenanigans Fest beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. Specials include $4 20-ounce drafts of six different Irish beers, and $5 Jameson and Ginger's. The party is open to the whole family. Five Things You Need to Know Today

Dec. 30: Five Places to Celebrate New Year's Eve in Lemont

Several local restaurants and bars are planning festive food and drink menus to celebrate the holiday.

Lemont residents won't have to travel far for a party atmosphere on New Year's Eve, as several Lemont restaurants are planning a festive parties with such extras as a balloon drop and champagne toasts. Slammers Pub and Grill, 1243 State St., will have a free appetizer buffet from 11:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. Party favors will be given out and patrons will receive a little bottle of champagne for a toast at midnight, said owner Tom Gangas. The pub will offer its regular menu of burgers and other bar fare until 11 p.m. Gangas said his 12-year-old daughter will attend the event at the family-friendly restaurant, which also offers video games. The countdown to midnight in many cities will be watched on more than 20 televisions in the pub. No cover …
