Putting Lemont on the Map: Village Introduces New Interactive Website

Many Lemont residents are already familiar all the amenities their community has to offer – and village officials and staff are eager to share that information with a wider audience.

For more than a year, Village Trustee Paul Chialdikas led efforts to put Lemont on the map through a marketing campaign designed to attract new residents to the community. And through the trustee’s work with village staff and local resident Laura Swalec, co-owner of the PlumThree marketing agency, the interactive website “ilivelemont” was born. According to Chialdikas, the website's development, ongoing maintenance and updates are being funded by a $25,000 marketing line item in the village budget. He said about $5,000 remains in the line item following ilivelemont's development. Great website, but how does a potential new resident find it? It doesn't show up in a Google search, and there's no link to it on the mail village site.   more ›
