NAPERVILLE A woman who moved out of an apartment in the 200 block of East Bailey Road two months ago returned to the apartment May 15 and asked the property manager if she could get her belongings. She was told by the property manager that the apartment was cleaned out and she was not allowed to enter, police said. A resident then saw the woman scale the balconies to get to her old apartment on the third floor, but she was not able to gain entry, police said. CLARENDON HILLS An apartment tenant on the 200 block of North Richmond Avenue wrote in magic marker on his door that "any trespassers will be shot," according to a police report. A 16-year-old from Lemont was arrested by Romeoville police Saturday, Aug. 6, after he allegedly stole money from a carnival worker, then knocked over a toddler as he was making his escape. The incident occurred at RomeoFest—the village's annual summer festival—around 9:45 p.m., according to Romeoville Assistant Police Chief Steven Lucchesi. “He was playing one of the games and apparently felt the game operator was taking his money,” Lucchesi said. The teen jumped over the counter and grabbed $40 in cash, police said. As the teen jumped back over the counter and attempted to flee, he knocked over a toddler, who suffered minor injuries, Lucchesi said.
