Village of Lemont Festival Committee Announces St. Patrick’s Day Queen
Kylie Abernathy will lead Lemont’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade through downtown Lemont on March 9.
The Village of Lemont Festival Committee has announced that Kylie Abernathy has been selected as this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Queen. She will lead the 2013 Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 9, through historic downtown Lemont. The letter nominating the 2013 queen describes her as an intelligent, sensitive, hard working young lady who is a great role model. The daughter of John and Sheri Abernathy of Lemont, Kylie is a freshman at Western Michigan University, where she is working toward a degree in occupational therapy. She is a member of Sigma Kappa, and serves as the chapter’s historian. Kylie continues her passion for volunteerism by serving the Alzheimer’s Foundation with her sorority sisters.
