U.S. Rep Dan Lipinski Opens New District Office

Lipinski’s Congressional office will hold a grand opening at Central Square in Lockport beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

Area officials will join U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski (IL-3) at a ceremonial ribbon cutting for his new Third Congressional District office at 11 a.m. Friday. The new office will be located on the first floor of Central Square at 222 East 9th St. in Lockport. The hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. No appointments are necessary. In keeping with the congressman’s goal of locating his district offices in close proximity to local government offices, the Lockport office will be in the same building as the City of Lockport, Lockport Township, and the Lockport Township Park District. “As an elected official who strives to be involved in the communities I represent, I am excited to open a new office in Lockport’s historic downtown area…

Welcome to Lemont, Tap House Grill

Village and Chamber of Commerce representatives officially welcomed Tap House Grill to Lemont with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday night.

Lemont’s Tap House Grill, which quietly opened in Lemont in mid-November, was warmly welcomed to Lemont Wednesday night by officials of the Village of Lemont and Lemont Area Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant/pub is celebrating its “grand re-opening” through Sunday - featuring daily specials, raffles and plenty of opportunities for beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike to delight their palates with a wide variety of hand-crafted brews and tasty treats. Front Street Cantina Celebrates Grand Opening in Lemont

The Tex-Mex restaurant is located in the Front Street Lofts in the village's downtown area.

The new Front Street Cantina opened its doors over the weekend to celebrate its grand opening in downtown Lemont. Ben DeVee and Dan Tacone, owners of Front Street Cantina, hosted dozens of guests Saturday for a ribbon-cutting event with the Lemont Area Chamber of Commerce. The Tex-Mex restaurant is located at 319 Front St. on the ground level of the Front Street Lofts, and has been open for business since Oct. 18. The owners and longtime friends formed a partnership using DeVee's small business background and Tacone's restaurant experience, they said. I was looking forward to eating there. I went there for the first time with my family, it was terrible! Don't waste your time and money. Poor customer service; quality of food is below average; and atmosphere feels generic. Things might change as time passes, but I doubt it.   more ›
