CUB to Offer Utility Savings Tips, Free Light Bulbs

Consumer watchdog group will staff a table at Senior Fair Monday at Lemont Park District’s CORE.

Citizens Utility Board (CUB), Illinois’ leading nonprofit watchdog group, will give consumers free, money-saving light bulbs and provide information on Lemont’s efforts to cut residential electric bills and tips on how to reduce utility costs. Lipinski Visits St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School

Congressman joins students, staff in celebration of Catholic Schools Week.

U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski (IL-3) marked National Catholic Schools Week by visiting St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School in Lemont. The congressman toured several classrooms, talked with students about his experience in Catholic schools and answered their questions about his work as their representative. Lipinski spoke to a school assembly on the importance of education and presented St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick Principal Renee Payne with an American flag that had flown over the U.S. Capitol building.
