Four Lemont High School Students Earn National Merit Scholar Honors

Kim Gannon has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, while Ethan Parafink, Justin Stanwyck and Lynn Stanwyck all were cited with National Merit Commended Students distinction.

Four Lemont High School seniors have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program for their performance on the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Kim Gannon was cited as a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist, while Ethan Parafink, Justin Stanwyck and Lynn Stanwyck all were cited with National Merit Commended Students distinction.   According to Tony Hamilton, director of school and community relations for District 210, the scores compiled by Lemont High School’s four honorees ranked them among the top five percent of all students in the United States who took the PSAT/NMSQT in 2011.
