Auction, Raffle Items Set for 'Food for Thought: Back to School'

A few tickets remain available for Lemont High School Educational Foundation's annual fundraiser, which will take place Saturday night at The Narnia Estate.

Editor's note: The following is a press release from Lemont High School District 210: One of Lemont’s biggest events of the fall is just two days away, and only a small number of tickets remain available! The Lemont High School Educational Foundation’s annual fundraiser - “Food for Thought: Back to School” - will take place at The Narnia Estate from 6 p.m.-midnight on Saturday, Oct. 13. This year’s event not only will feature food, drink, music and fun, but also celebrity "bouncers" and the most extensive collection of silent auction and raffle items in its six-year history. “Food for Thought” is presented this year by Citgo Refinery of Lemont. “Food for Thought: Back to School” Fundraiser Oct. 13 at Narnia Estate

Tickets are on sale now for signature event to help raise funds to aid LHS students, faculty and staff.

Tickets are on sale for the Lemont High School Educational Foundation’s signature fundraiser, “Food for Thought: Back to School,” one of Lemont’s most anticipated annual social events. For the fourth straight year, the enchanted environment at The Narnia Estate at 16501 135th St. in Lemont  will serve as a backdrop for the event, which will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. This year, “Food for Thought” will celebrate college life with the event’s ‘Back to School’ theme, which will give LHSEF supporters one more chance to attend a college party. Attendees  are encouraged to show their school spirit – and perhaps even recapture their youth – by wearing college attire (which could range from a college sweatshirt, to a letterman’s jacket, to…

LHS Educational Foundation's 'Food for Thought' Raises Nearly $39K

The foundation's annual fundraiser, held Oct. 29 at the Narnia Estate, raises money to support educational opportunities for Lemont High School students.

The Lemont High School Educational Foundation's premier fundraising event, "Food for Thought," brought in nearly $39,000 in revenue, school officials said. The organization's fifth annual "Food for Thought" was held Saturday at the Narnia Estate, 16501 135th St. The event was attended by about 200 people, who dined on cuisine from more than a dozen local businesses and participated in raffles and a silent auction. For the first time, "Food for Thought" featured live music courtesy of local band "Crazy Uncles." Food and decor matched the event's theme, "Spooktacular." LHS Educational Foundation Hosts Fifth Annual 'Food for Thought' Fundraiser

Hundreds turned out Saturday night for "Food for Thought: Spooktacular," which was held at the Narnia Estate in Lemont.

More than a dozen local businesses served up their best dishes Saturday for the Lemont High School Educational Foundation's fifth annual "Food for Thought" fundraiser. Hundreds turned out for the foundation's signature event, which was held at the the Narnia Estate, 16501 W. 135th St. The fundraiser featured an array of food and beverages from a number of Lemont establishments, as well as live music, raffles and a silent auction. Food and decor matched the event's theme, "Spooktacular." For the first time, "Food for Thought" featured live music courtesy of local band "Crazy Uncles." Four of Lemont's newest restaurants — Jimmy John's, Muffins, Sweetwater Deli and The Vault — participated in "Food for Thought" for the first time this year. …

LHS Educational Foundation Announces Annual 'Food for Thought' Fundraiser

Tickets are now available for "Food for Thought: Spooktacular," which will be held Oct. 29 at the Narnia Estate.

Several local businesses will serve up their best dishes this month for the Lemont High School Educational Foundation's annual "Food for Thought" fundraiser. Now in its fifth year, the foundation's signature event features an array of food and beverages from a number of Lemont establishments, and will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Narnia Estate, 16501 W. 135th St. The fundraiser's theme this year is "Spooktacular." Guests will enjoy "ghoulish decor and fare" from 13 local businesses, as well as a raffle and silent auction. For the first time, "Food for Thought" will feature live music, courtesy of local band "Crazy Uncles." Citgo has also come on board as the presenting sponsor.
