Lemont Express Car Wash at 1174 State St. reopened on Friday after undergoing a multi-million dollar makeover that begain in July. The business replaced its former building with a 4,800-square-foot complex that includes a 150-foot automatic car wash tunnel, state-of-the-art equipment and a 25-horsepower central vacuum system. The brand-new Lemont Express Car Wash will remain open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. every day, 365 days per year. I just arrived back home with my with my soaking wet, shiverring Westie. The air blowers blow cold air and the external temperature was 17 degrees this morning. when I called I asked the gentlemen who answered if the blowers are warm air, and he responded they are suppose to be.
