Lemont Police Announce Holiday Crackdown Results

Local, state law enforcement teamed up for “Drive to Survive” campaign.

Lemont Police Department has announced the results of the recent year-end traffic safety push called  “Drive to Survive.”  The enforcement campaign was designed to lower motor vehicle fatalities due to not buckling up or to driving under the influence. Summary of Lemont Police activity from December 17, 2012 to Jan. 1, 2013: The Lemont Police Department joined forces with other state and local law enforcement and highway safety partners in conducting the crackdown campaign, featuring high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities including a strategic media campaign and additional enforcement activity.
