DuPage County Farmers Market Guide 2013

Farmers markets are opening around DuPage County. Find out where to find fresh produce, flowers and artisan made crafts and foods at the many markets held throughout the county.

Shopping in the grocery store is fine, but when spring and summer roll around, farmers markets are in full swing, offering a community experience along with the fresh produce, flowers and food items available. Last Chance: Final Farmers Market Tuesday

Village of Lemont’s final Farmers Market will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Talcott Square (Stephen and Talcott streets).

The farmers market season is ending earlier than usual this year due to an early frost. Don't miss your last chance this season to pick up fresh vegetables, flowers and shrubs, baked goods and more.

Get Your Fresh Veggies -- and a Flu Shot

Farmers Market in downtown Lemont will feature a mini health fair as well as fresh vegetables, plants and more on Tuesday.

Don’t miss the Farmers Market from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stephen and Talcott streets in downtown Lemont. It’s your last chance to pick up some delicious Mirai sweet corn! And this week, besides offering a variety of vegetables, plants and more, Home Health Care Hospice will provide free blood pressure checks and flu shots (free of charge with Medicare Part B Coverage or $10 without coverage). The Farmers Market will continue every Tuesday through the end of October.

Lemont Farmers Market Kicks Off Summer Season

The 2012 market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning June 5, in the Talcott Square parking lot at Stephen and Talcott streets.

The Lemont’s Farmers Market will kick off its 2012 season Tuesday with a mix of vendors old and new. Beginning June 5, the Farmers Market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday in the Talcott Square parking lot at Stephen and Talcott streets. At least 16 vendors are expected to participate in the market, which runs through Oct. 30. Many of the main produce and food vendors will remain the same as years past, but the lineup will be slightly different, according to Donna Pecina, marketing coordinator for the Village of Lemont. "We have all of the same farmers and gardeners, but we're excited to add a variety of vendors this year that will bring something new to the market," Pecina said. Five Things You Need to Know Today

Oct. 25: Final Farmers Market, LHS Soccer Sectional, Fright Night

Five things every Lemonter needs to know Tuesday.

The final Lemont Farmers Market of the season will be held today in the Talcott Square parking lot. The market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. CLICK HERE for more information, including a complete list of vendors. The Lemont High School varsity boys soccer team will host Washington for the first game of their Class 2A Sectional. The game will be held at 5 p.m. at the Lemont High School Sports Complex, located at 131st Street and Bell Road. The Lemont Area Historical Society is hosting its annual "Fright Night at the Old Stone Church" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
