Get Out Your Running Shoes for the Keepataw Family Fun Run

Warrior Booster Club’s inaugural run through downtown Lemont will begin at 9 a.m. Monday.

There are plenty of activities and events at this year’s Keepataw Days Festival – and members of the Old Quarry Warrior Booster Club are hoping you will add one more thing to your “to do” list this year: the inaugural Keepataw Family Fun Run on Monday, Sept. 3. The two-mile family run through downtown Lemont starts at 9 a.m. and will include awards, a raffle and music. The race begins and ends next to Front Street Cantina.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Warrior Booster Club, which helps provide extra-curricular activities for students at Old Quarry Middle School. Participants who register before race day can save by paying a reduced rate of $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 13 and under, and the first 200 runners to …

Old Quarry Extracurricular Registration Ends Thursday

Students interested in participating in sports or clubs during the 2011-2012 school year must sign up by Sept. 1.

Today is the final day of registration for students in Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A interested in participating in extracurricular activities this year. The Warrior Booster Club is closing online registration after Thursday for more than 20 sports teams and clubs at Old Quarry Middle School. Extracurriculars at Old Quarry have been funded by the Warrior Booster Club since they were cut from the district's budget in 2010. During the Aug. 16 meeting of the District 113A Board of Education, Booster Club President Amy Kramer presented a check for $115,640.65 for the 2011-2012 school year.  According to Kramer, the club had enough students sign up to run 26 of the 28 activities offered during the first round of registration. …

Warrior Booster Club to Close Registration for 2011-2012 School Year

District 113A students interested in extracurricular activities must register online between July 25-Aug. 12.

Lemont parents have just a few more days to sign up their children for after-school activities in Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A. The Warrior Booster Club, which began organizing after-school activities for Old Quarry Middle School last year, is holding online registration for all activities now through Friday. All students wishing to participate in extracurricular activities during the upcoming school year must register and pay by the Aug. 12 deadline. According to the club's website, activities for the upcoming school year include: Activity costs range from $100 to $205. Warrior Booster Club Begins Registration for 2011-2012 School Year

District 113A students interested in extracurricular activities must register online between July 25-Aug. 12.

Registration begins this week for Old Quarry Middle School students interested in extracurricular activities for the 2011-2012 school year. The Warrior Booster Club, which began organizing after-school activities in Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A last year, is holding online registration for all activities from Monday through Aug. 12. The club is also offering two walk-in registration days at Old Quarry, 16100 W. 127th St. Volunteers will be accepting sign-ups and payments from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 3, and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 4. 'Village People' Take On Old Quarry Students in Booster Club Basketball Fundraiser

The school's varsity boys and girls teams took on Mayor Brian Reaves and other village employees to raise money for extracurriculars in District 113A.

Old Quarry Middle School students and representatives from the Village of Lemont hit the court Saturday night for a basketball fundraiser hosted by the Warrior Booster Club. For the game, members of the varsity Warrior girls and boys basketball teams joined forces to take on "The Village People," a team composed of Mayor Brian Reaves, village employees and firefighters, Warrior Booster Club members and Old Quarry faculty. Though the score remained close throughout the game, the Warriors were able to pull out a 52-45 win. The basketball game kicked off an early fundraising season for the Booster Club, which was responsible for organizing and funding extracurricular activities this year in Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A, and …
