From the Archives: Local Celebrity, 'Jolly Boy' George Hofmeyer

The Lemont Area Historical Society has generously offered to share photos and accompanying information with Patch readers each week, depicting people, places and things from the village's storied past. This week's featured photo is of a local celebrity of sorts -- George Hofmeyer of Lemont, who appeared at the Century of Progress International Exposition (a.k.a. the Chicago World's Fair) in 1933.
