District 113A Hires New Business Manager, Approves Administrative Salary Freeze
Board of Education takes action on several personnel-related items during special meeting Tuesday night.
A new business manager and treasurer was appointed to serve Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A for the 2011-2012 school year. During a special meeting Tuesday night, the District 113A Board of Education unanimously approved the hiring of Barbara Germany, who will begin her duties July 1. She replaces Jay Tovian, the district's current interim business manager and treasurer. Tovian will mentor Germany for the first part of the school year to ensure a smooth transition of duties, according to a news release. Germany comes to District 113A from Mokena School District 159, where she was the business manager and treasurer for the the past year. Correct me if I'm wrong... But isn't the Mokena school district in just as bad of financial shape as D113a? And we hired their business manager? I have no words. more ›
