Richard Grabowski, the Republican candidate for the 3rd Congressional District, spoke at the Lewis/Grand Haven Candidates' Night Sept. 20.
Richard Grabowski, the Republican candidate for the 3rd Congressional District, laid heavily on the David-Goliath metaphor at a recent candidates' night hosted by Lewis University and Grand Haven active adult community in Romeoville. "I'm David running against Goliath," Grabowski said. "I need to borrow your slingshot. Do you have the stones to help make it happen?" Grabowski is running against Democrat and incumbent Dan Lipinski. Lipinski was not present at the Sept. 20 candidates' night at Grand Haven, which allowed candidates representing the area meet and speak to voters. Grabowski said Lipinski is a "bought and paid for Congressman," funded by Mike Madigan, speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives and Chairman of the …

Congressman Dan Lipinski (IL-3) has released the following statement about his continued opposition to the Affordable Care Act, which the Supreme Court upheld Thursday.
Congressman Dan Lipinski (IL-3) released a statement Thursday on the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling regarding the 2010 Affordable Care Act: “More than two years have passed since I voted against the health care law because it is unaffordable, cuts Medicare, does not do enough to lower the soaring cost of health care, and would allow federal funding for abortion,” Lipinski said. “The details about the law that have emerged in the meantime have only added to my concerns, and I have continued to work to fix the many problems with it. The Supreme Court’s decision does not change my opposition to the law or my dedication to changing the law. As I said at the time of my vote, there can be no doubt that our health care system is in serious need of…

Both of the major candidates in the Republican primary race to challenge incumbent Dan Lipinski in the 3rd District primary race are touting new endorsements from conservative organizations and Tea Party groups in press releases. Richard Grabowski of Hometown has announced endorsements from the GOP organizations of Orland Township, Palos Township, Worth Township and the Chicago 11th Ward, the Lemont and Homer/Lockport Tea Party groups, GOP figures Michael Bendas and William J. Kelly, and the organizations Tax Accountability and the Illinois Center-Right Coalition. “Ordinary, common sense thinking people are lining up in back of Richard L. Grabowski in the Republican Primary race for U.S. Congress in Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District in …

The 3rd Congressional Republican candidate has picked up endorsements from the Lyons Township Republicans and conservative politician Dan Proft.
The campaign to elect Republican Jim Falvey to the 3rd Congressional District seat currently held by fellow Western Springs resident Dan Lipinski is publicizing two new right-wing endorsements picked up in Falvey’s primary battle against Hometown’s Richard Grabowski. Falvey has received primary endorsements from both conservative political figure and former GOP gubernatorial nominee Dan Proft and from the organization Lyons Township Republicans. “Republicans can win the 3rd District this year with the right candidate, and after in-depth discussions with Jim Falvey I believe he is that candidate,” said Proft in a Falvey campaign press release. “Jim Falvey understands that the problem in Washington is not that the federal government hasn't …

Western Springs attorney Jim Falvey is seeking the GOP nomination in the newly-redrawn 3rd District for election to the U.S. House of Representatives.
There is a very real chance that the battle for Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District in November will come down to two Western Springs residents. One would be the moderate Democratic incumbent Dan Lipinski, the dynastic successor to his father Bill, who served 11 terms in the House of Representatives (the younger Lipinski is in his fourth term.) The other is a relatively new face on the political battlefield: Republican candidate Jim Falvey. Falvey, a two-decade resident of Western Springs, is ramping up his campaign with just over two months left before the Illinois primaries. And he’s convinced that with the 3rd District’s recent redrawing — moving to the southwest to incorporate more rural residents and fewer urban ones — he has a good…

Well Dan. if you feel The Affordable Care Act, is not in anyone's best interest.....I as well as many other Americans who are uninsurable due to preexisting conditions might just disagree. Is the bill perfect no...is it a step in the right direction ? Absolutely. How about you give up YOUR publicly paid medical benefits for you and your family.
