Restaurants Collect Food, School Supplies for Lemont Food Pantries

Four participating restaurants are offering discounts for food, school supplies and monetary donations made through Aug. 31.

Four Lemont restaurants are encouraging patrons to support the local food pantries this month through a new "Dine, Donate, Dine Again with a Discount" program. Food, school supplies and monetary donations will be collected throughout the month of August at the following Lemont restaurants: Those who donate to the Lemont Food Pantries will receive a 10-percent discount during a return visit in September. When patrons return in September, the 10 percent can either be deducted from your meal total or used as a donation to the pantries. WATCH: 'Chicago's Best' Features Mini Burgers at 3 Corners Grill and Tap

The popular WGN/CLTV show featured the restaurant Sunday night as part of its "Best Burgers" episode.

In case you haven't heard, Lemont's 3 Corners Grill and Tap was featured Sunday night on the popular WGN program "Chicago's Best." The restaurant, located at 12371 Derby Road, was one of several restaurants visited by the program last month for an episode that showcased the best burgers in the Chicago area. During the show, host Brittney Payton tried 3 Corners' various mini burgers. The episode is set to air Sunday at 10 p.m. To celebrate the occasion, the restaurant will offer its signature burgers for just $7 all day. 'Chicago's Best' Visits 3 Corners Grill and Tap

The popular WGN/CLTV show was scheduled to film at the Lemont restaurant Thursday afternoon for the "Best Burgers" episode.

3 Corners Grill and Tap will be visited this week by the popular WGN program "Chicago's Best" for the show's "Best Burgers" episode. Co-owner Kevin Metz made the announcement on the 3 Corners Facebook page Wednesday, and said the show plans to feature the restaurant's "MiniWiches." Crews will be at the restaurant, 12371 Derby Road, around lunchtime Thursday, Metz said. Specific times were not available. "We are flattered and excited to be chosen!" Metz wrote. The Lemont restaurant is the best place in town to cheer on your favorite teams, according to reader votes and reviews.

Lemont has plenty of places to grab a drink and watch a game, but only one could be name the 2012 Readers' Choice.
