The farmers market is great and more people should support it.
I go almost every week when it’s open.
My only complaint is that we need more vendors. A wider selection would be great.
I’ve been to other in surrounding towns and they were triple the size.
Although they have been growing considerably since they’ve moved to the new location. Hopefully that will continue.
Lemont Farmers Market

Every summer and early fall, Lemont residents can enjoy the array of fresh produce, beautiful flowers and handcrafted gifts for sale at the Lemont Farmers Market. Located in the Talcott Square Parking Lot on Stephen Street and Talcott Avenue, the market includes vendors from all over the Chicago area and is the perfect place to find locally grown goods. The Lemont Farmers Market is open every Tuesday from June 1 - October 26.
- Hours: Tues, 8am - 1pm
- Seasons: Autumn (Sept-Nov), Summer (Jun-Aug)
- Season end: October 26
- Season start: June 1

I have been to the market 3 to 4 times this year. Last year was much better. I went last week 07/24/2012 and all that was there was Labario bread the usual vegetable vendor, a tupperware dealer, Sweet corn, the perennial flower man and the pizza vendor. Gone were Anne's, no salsa person, no smoothies, no garden chimes (all of these were there on the first day) in fact, there was only one side of the parking lot blocked off and that was more than needed. I was talking with the fruit people and I was told that they would not be coming back after they sell their blueberries and raspberries (that week I am assuming) because their trees blossomed in March, froze in April and they have no peaches or apples. Which is heartbreaking as they were the highlight to the market especially in the Fall with their apples. Everyone that I have spoken with has been very disappointed with the market. I hope that Lemont can find other vendors who want to make the trek to Lemont.
