Excellent sushi! a little on the pricey side but honestly worth the extra cost.

Kitaro Grill & Sushi Lounge is Lemont's place for steak, sushi and lobster. Kitaro, located near Jewel-Osco on State Street, offers an intimate dining experience for lunch, dinner and drinks. Patrons may choose to sit at a booth, table, or at the sushi bar, where chefs prepare sushi orders. Kitaro features a lunch menu with box specials that are served until 2:30pm. Our family eats here pretty much once a week. We all love it! It's so nice to try different things every time we come. The owners and wait staff are always very friendly. We've tried a few other places in the area and they don't come close to Kitaro. Hope Lemont residents keep supporting them so they stay in Lemont for a long time!
Although it is pricey, we have eaten here many times and have never had anything but excellent sushi. The service is great as well. Will return many more times.
I’ve eaten here a handful of times and I love it every time.
It’s a bit on the pricy side, but worth every penny. (Although at the time of this writing, they have a $10 and $15 lunch specials that are a pretty good value.)
Recently my mom was in from out of town. She has never had it and rolled her eyes when I suggested.
I told her that I knew she would love it and she had to give it a try. (Hey, she made me try everything at least once when I was growing up, so now it’s her turn!)
We went and ordered 2 munch specials so she could try a few different things. Not only did she love it, but in the short time she was here, she made me go back again for another lunch so she could try more things on the menu.
This was the WORST dining experience I have ever had! I will bot be back. We went for lunch... they had a sign out front that said HAPPY HOUR, but they were not offering happy hour at that time. Sushi was mediocre at least with too much rice on the maki. The waitress made a mistake with our order, but really huffed when we asked her to fix it. Very rude.... and after we left, we realized that we had left behind our phone... when we went back, she said she didn't have it but when we glanced behind the counter, it was there. So, not only was the waitress rude, she tried to steal our phone! We couldn't believe it! Aodoke in Darien is way better!!!
