St. Al's/St. Pat's Hosts 'Festa EATaliana' Fundraiser

The Lemont grade school will host local Italian restaurants, live entertainment and a cooking competition from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Bottles.

St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School will host an Italian-themed fundraiser Saturday in downtown Lemont.

"Festa EATaliana" will be held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Bottles, 439 Talcott Ave., and will feature Italian fare from La Dolce Vita, Mama D’s and Papa Joe’s, as well as craft beer and wine.

Live entertainment will be provided by Afterglow (5 p.m.), Krazy Uncles (7 p.m.) and Skunk City (9 p.m.).

The event will also feature the "Godmother Throwdown Cooking Competition," a feast of Italian favorites prepared by more than 25 family chefs. The competition begins at 3 p.m. and will feature a number of local celebrity judges, including Lemont Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy, Lemont Park District Executive Director Louise Egofske, St. Al's/St. Pat's Principal Renee Payne and several professional chefs.

Tickets for the Godmother Throwdown are $25 and must be purchased in advance.

Tickets for the main Festa EATliana event cost $10 each, and are only available to individuals 21 and older.

All proceeds will benefit programs at St. Al's/St. Pat's.
