Mass, Spaghetti Dinner Will Honor Lemont Veterans, First Responders

All Lemont service personnel, veterans, and both active and retired first responders are encouraged to attend.

Lemont Knights of Columbus Council 1599 will host a special recognition program for Lemont's active military, veterans, and active or retired first responders.

A special Mass will be conducted at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at St. Patrick Church, 200 E. Illinois St. Lemont Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy will be a featured speaker at the church service. All faiths are invited.

All Lemont service personnel, veterans, and both active and retired first responders are encouraged to attend.

Following the Mass, a free spaghetti dinner will be provided at 6:30 p.m. for military, veterans and first responders with their spouse or significant other at the Lemont Township Community Center. Seating capacity for the dinner is limited to 150.

• Front Street Cantina Fundraiser: Enjoy an evening out while supporting the arts in Lemont. Dine at Front Street Cantina, 319 Front St., from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, and the restaurant will donate 10 percent of all proceeds to the Lemont High School Art Department and The Art & Culture Commission of Lemont. The evening will also include a split-the-pot raffle and live musical performances by Lemont High School students.
• Lemont Township’s Vendor/Crafter Market:  Lemont Township will host its annual Neighbor to Neighbor Vendor and Crafters' Market from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Lemont Township Community Center at 16300 Alba St. All vendor reservation fees and any donations offered will benefit the Lemont Township Family Assistance Fund.
