Lemont Park District Hosts Spin-a-thon for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Also this weekend: A world-renowned organist at SS. Cyril and Methodius and Week 5 football action at Lemont High School.

The Lemont Park District will host a Spin-a-thon on Saturday to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the CORE Fitness and Aquatic Complex, 16050 W. 127th St. Participants must be 16 or older.

The fundraiser—held in conjunction with Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma Month—includes three hours of spinning action, prizes, snacks and complimentary childcare.

Week 5 Football: Lemont High School (1-3) will host Tinley Park at 7 p.m. Friday.

Organist at SS. Cyril and Methodius: SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 608 Sobieski St., will host a classical organ concert at 5 p.m. Sunday. The concert will feature world-renowned organist and composer Gedymin Grubba. He will be joined by cellist Iam Naksin and soprano Miroslawa Sojka-Topor, the music director at SS. Cyril & Methodius. Tickets cost $15 for adults and are free for children and students.
