Lemont Girl Scouts Host Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Also this weekend: Clothing and toy resale, Second Chance sidewalk art sale and Week 3 football.

The Lemont Girl Scouts will host their annual pancake breakfast on Sunday.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Lemont Township Community Center, 16300 Alba St. 

Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and tater tots will be served by the Girl Scouts. 

Tickets will be available at the door—$7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children 4 and older. All proceeds go to the Lemont Girl Scout service unit and troops.

Week 3 Football: The Lemont High School (1-1) will host Richards on Friday at 7 p.m. The team beat Riverside-Brookfield 44-20 to improve to 1-1.

Clothing and Toy Resale: First Church of the Nazarene, 12725 Bell Road, will hold its annual children's clothing and toy resale Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The sale will feature gently used clothing (baby to size 16), shoes, toys, games, books, electronics, CDs, DVDs, furniture, bedding, room decor, costumes, sports equipment and more. No children under the age of 18 are allowed on the sales floor. Gift certificates will be awarded hourly.

Second Chance Sidewalk Art Sale: Second Chance Thrift Shoppe, 44 Stephen St., will host a sidewalk art sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
