Don't Miss 'Infinity' Bring Music of Trans-Siberian Orchestra to Lemont

Infinity—a staple at Lemont's annual Keepataw Days Festival— will play a holiday concert at Lemont High School Friday, Dec. 13.

This weekend local band Infinity—a staple at Lemont’s annual Keepataw Days Festival—will bring the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra to the village.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the Lemont High School Performing Arts Center, 800 Porter St. Tickets cost $20 and are available through Lemont High School’s website.

The concerts will tell the story of Christmas around the world using a musical ensemble, a choir, a snow machine and other surprises, according to the band’s Facebook page.

• Low Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic: Spay Illinois is hosting a low cost pet vaccine clinic from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at All Critter Grooming, 1120 State St., Lemont. This is a walk-in clinic; no appointment necessary. Cash and Visa, Mastercard, and Discover debit or credit cards are accepted. No personal checks. This clinic is open to everyone. No residency or income restrictions apply.
• Human Trafficking Awareness, Safety Workshop: Holly Baker from Kesitah International Ministries will lead the workshop on awareness and safety from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at Calvary Church, 1375 State St.
• Friday Flicks: The Lemont Public Library will screen "Life of Pi" (2012) as part of its Friday Flicks series at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 50 E. Wend St. Popcorn and beverages will be served. Registration is not required.
• Free SAT Practice Test: A free full-length SAT practice test sponsored by Kaplan Test Prep will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Lemont Public Library, 50 E. • Holiday Artists Bazaar: The Lemont Center for the Arts' fourth annual Holiday Artists Bazaar will continue through Dec. 22. Attendees can shop a selection of locally handmade arts and crafts. Usual gallery hours are noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, at 1243 State St, Unit 101.
