Lemont's Popular 'Emergency Vehicles Night' Set for Wednesday

Also this week: Festa EATaliana and board meetings at Village Hall, District 210 and District 113A.

The streets of downtown Lemont will be lined with ambulances, police cars and fire trucks on Wednesday for the Lemont Legends Car Show's annual "Emergency Vehicles Night."

The car show, organized by the Lemont Area Chamber of Commerce, runs 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Wednesday, through Aug. 28. The event is held on Main, Lemont and Canal streets in the village's downtown area.

In addition to the dozens of classic cars that will be showcased each week, Cruise Nights also features entertainment and food from several local vendors.

Emergency Vehicles Night has historically been one of the car show's most popular themes. A rain date is set for Aug. 28.

Lemont Farmers Market: 
The Lemont Farmers Market will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday in Talcott Square, located at Stephen and Talcott streets.

Festa EATaliana: St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School will host an Italian-themed "Festa EATaliana" fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at Bottles, 439 Talcott Ave. The event will feature Italian fare, drinks, and music from Afterglow, Krazy Uncles and Skunk City. Tickets cost $10 each, and are only available to individuals 21 and older. All-day passes cost $25. All proceeds will benefit programs at St. Al's/St. Pat's.
