Lemont Football Team Hosts Plainfield South for 2013 Opener

Lemont High School will kick off the 2013 football season Friday with a home opener against Plainfield South.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Lemont High School football field, 800 Porter St.

The Indians went 11-2 last year, including an 8-1 run in the regular season. The team advanced to the state semifinals for the fourth time in six years, but fell just short of the championship game after losing 28-27 to Crete-Monee.
