Fright Night at the Old Stone Church

The evening will include tales of the supernatural centered around Lemont locations, and meeting some spirits of the past, including the elusive Resurrection Mary.

Fright Night at the Old Stone Church is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Lemont Historical Society, 306 Lemont St. The evening will include tales of the supernatural centered around Lemont locations, and meeting some spirits of the past, including the elusive Resurrection Mary.

Doors open 6:30 p.m.

Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Refreshments will be available.

Trick or Treating at the Library: For those trick-or-treating, don't forget to make a stop at the Lemont Public Library, 50 E Wend St., on Halloween night. Visitors can meet characters from book favorites, including Tinker Bell, Mother Goose, Geronimo Stilton, Harry Potter, Snow White, and others! Play Boo Bowling in the meeting room and play a Halloween trivia game. No registration is necessary. All ages are welcome.

X-Cite Night at Calvary Church: The community is invited to don costumes and enjoy family entertainment, games, candy, and more during X-Cite Night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31,  1375 State St., Lemont.

"Monsters University" Screening at the Library: The Lemont Public Library will host a screening of Monsters University, as well as playing a monsters trivia game, having snacks, and more at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. Sign up is required by Oct. 30. Ages 9-12 only. Signup required at www.lemontlibrary.org.

Lemont Lions Club Annual Chili Supper, Meat Raffle: The Lemont Lions Club will host the 28th annual Chili Supper and Meat Raffle from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Lemont VFW, 15780 New Ave. Adults are $7, seniors are $6, children ages 6 to 12 are $5, and those 5 and under are free.
