Lemont Road Bridge Closed Briefly Due to Ice
Ice and several spin-outs led Lemont police to shut down the bridge temporarily.
UPDATE, 8:53 p.m.
The Lemont Road bridge has reopened, after being tended to by public works and salt trucks.
The bridge was shut down as a precaution, after several spin-outs, said Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy.

The Lemont Road bridge is closed to traffic, due to extreme icy conditions.
Salt trucks are en route around 8:30 p.m. Monday, said Shaughnessy. The bridge is blocked by police.
