Keepataw Days Festival Announces 2012 Entertainment Lineup

Performing during Lemont's annual Labor Day festival are Infinity, Five Guys Named Moe, Legendary Rockstars, Lounge Puppets, Blackened, Gina Glocksen and Andrea Veltri.

Planning is well underway for Lemont's 63rd annual Keepataw Days Festival, which is scheduled for Labor Day weekend in the historic downtown area.

The event will run Friday, Aug. 31, through Monday, Sept. 3. Entertainment includes a carnival midway, beer garden concerts, a family stage, food booths, face painting and a parade.

New this year is a pool table skill contest, "Speed of the Break," in the beer garden. Players get three shots for $5.

The Hope and Friendship Foundation will bring back "Bingo" this year to raise money for local families in need.

The festival runs 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 10 p.m. Monday. The parade will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

There is a $5 admission fee for the beer garden after 6 p.m.
