Whiz Kids: Lemont Raiders Girls Soccer Teams

The girls recently won two tournament championships.

Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Last month, the Lemont Raiders Girls U10 and U13 soccer teams posted tournament wins. The U10 team won the Eclipse Select Championship on May 1 with a record of 4-0. The U13 team won the 2011 Oswego Soccer Classic on May 30, shutting out Naperville's NSA Pumas 2-0 in the title match.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Both teams have put in strong performances during year-round play. According to the club's website, the U10 team has a season record of 19-14-2 since the fall, while the U13 team has a record of 12-2-3 since January.

The U10 team is led by manager Mike Egan and trainer George Gorleku. The U13 team is led by manager David Bermele and trainer Mike Ford.
