Whiz Kid: River Valley Third-Grader Olivia Mattila

Whiz Kid's Names: Olivia Mattila (Woodrige)

Whiz Kid's Age: 9

Whiz Kid's Grade: 3rd

Whiz Kid's School:

Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Olivia is a Level 5 gymnast at I Flip 'n' Dance in Woodridge. She competed in her first state meet March 30 in DeKalb, finishing second place in the all-around competition.

Key to Awesomeness: As runner-up in the state competition, Olivia finished third on floor and bars, fourth on vault and fifth on beam. She was nominated by Shannon Phelan, who said, "It's such a huge accomplishment, and we all could not be more proud of her."
