Predict the Score of the LHS Playoff Game to Win $10 to Nick's Tavern

The downtown Lemont pub is offering a gift card to the Patch reader who correctly guesses the score of Friday night's football game.

The varsity football team (9-0) will kick off its 2011 playoff run Friday night with a home game against Morgan Park (4-5).

Thanks to a new partnership with , 221 Main St., Lemont Patch will be holding a "Predict the Score" contest prior to the Chicago Bears game each week. Since the Bears are off this weekend, we're taking predictions for the Lemont game instead.

The reader who correctly guesses the score, or comes closest to guessing the score, wins a $10 gift card to Nick's.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

• If you’re a Patch reader, simply comment on the bottom of this article with your name and what you think the final score of the Lemont High School playoff game will be. (Example: Amanda Luevano, Lemont 42, Morgan Park 5.)

• All entries need to be received by the start of the game. Since the Indians' next game is Friday night, we'll need all entries by 7 p.m. Friday.

• To determine the winner, we will take the difference between actual points scored and predicted score for each team, and add them up for everyone who posted in the comments section on both sites. The person whose combined total is closest to zero wins. And it doesn't matter if the points you give are higher or lower than actual points scores, we're just looking for the person who has the lowest differential.

• If two or more people tie for being the closest to the actual total of points scored, a random drawing will be held to determine the winner of the gift card.

• Only one entry allowed per person. All participants must be 18 years or older. You can read our official giveaway guidelines .

So, please, comment away. And tell your friends! And hey, the winner can have lunch with Patch Editor Amanda Luevano, who has yet to try a burger from Nick's!
