Lemont Youth Lacrosse Program Wraps Up Successful Season

The Lemont Indians Youth Lacrosse program recently wrapped up a successful third season, fielding teams at the U9, U11, U13, and U15 levels.

After finishing in last place for  several seasons, the U13 and U15 teams both placed second at the Washington Invitational Tournament in Peoria held in May. The U9 team also finished in first place at the Southland Tournament at Andrew High School in June.

The Indians are part of the Southland League, which includes teams from Beverly, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Oak Forest, Crown Point and Chesterton.

The Lemont Indians Youth Lacrosse program is the primary feeder team for the Lemont High School club team.

The youth program is now accepting registrations for the Spring 2014 season, which runs April to June.

Space is limited, according to league officials. The U9 Roster will carry a maximum of 16 players, and U11, U13, and U15 will take 24 players each. After the teams reach capacity, a wait list will apply and the program will consider the possibility of adding additional teams.

Early bird registration is available now through Sept. 1. The fee is $300, including a $150 deposit. After Sept. 1, the fee  is $350.

A uniform fee of $120 is due in January.

Required forms include the 2014 player information sheet, medical waiver and U.S. Lacrosse Insurance form, all of which are available online.
