Lemont Shamrocks to Host Free Football Camp

The camp runs July 21–25.

The Lemont Shamrocks youth developmental football team will host a free summer skills camp open to all incoming second and third graders currently on the team, or those interested in giving football a try this yea, or are currently signed up for the Shamrocks. 

Attending the camp is free, with no obligation to sign up if a child is not interested in playing.

  • What: Shamrocks' Football Summer Skills Camp 
  • When: Monday, July 21–Friday, July 25 (Kids are not required to attend every day if they are not available)
  • Time: 6 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Location: Covington Fields, East Side, 127th & Covington, Lemont

  • Non-contact (no pads, no hitting), focused on introducing young players to football and fundamental skills in a safe, positive environment.
  • Opportunity to learn the most important basic fundamentals of the game.
  • Learn the most updated football techniques and skills that emphasize the new safety standards.
  • Introduce players to Shamrocks' Coaches, all of whom are required to be USA Football Level 1 Coaching Certified, ASEP Certified and Virtus (Protecting God's Children) Trained.
  • Give kids a chance to try football in a safe and positive environment, meet teammates and coaches and decide if they are interested in playing this season.
