Lemont's Ethan Pocic Named to ESPN Chicago's All-Area Football Team

The junior offensive lineman has already received scholarship offers from Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Purdue, West Virginia and Arizona.

junior Ethan Pocic has been named to ESPNChicago.com's All-Area football team.

Pocic — a 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive lineman — was one of 35 Chicago-area players to receive the honor. He led his team to a 12-1 season in 2011, and is considered to be one of the top offensive linemen in the state, ESPN reports.

Earlier this month, Pocic received All-State honors from the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association, as well as First Team All-Area honors from the Chicago Sun-Times.

Comcast SportsNet reports that Pocic has received nine scholarship offers to date from Division I schools — Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Purdue, West Virginia and Arizona.
