Lemont continued its perfect season in fine fashion as the Indians cruised to a 49-0 victory over Riverside-Brookfield on Friday night.
The Indians (2-0), coming off a 54-0 victory over Little Village last week, wasted no time in putting down the hammer as they scored on three of their first four possessions while taking a 22-0 lead in the opening quarter.
The defense led the way as it held the home-side Bulldogs to seven first quarter yards.

"The defense was great and it's easy to run plays when you're inside the other team's 50-yard line so much," Indians quarterback Damon Aleman said. “They gave us great position from the turnovers and the offensive line did great.”

“We saw how they played last week (in the film). Our kids never thought we’d show up and they’d take it easy on us. Our defense did a great job tonight that gave us a short field.”
The powerful offensive attack, which netted 276 first-half rushing yards, kept dominating as it managed three second-quarter touchdowns for a 42-0 halftime lead.
The Indians rushing attack was well-balanced in the opening two quarters when the game was still of meaning.
Mike Anzalone had 120 yards and a touchdown, Eric Kirkman had three carries for 17 yards and a pair of scores, Christos Giatras had six carries for 67 yards and two touchdowns while Mitch Balek had seven carries for 45 yards and a touchdown.
With the IHSA rule of a running clock, the Indians made quick work of the second half and walked out 49-0 winners.
Lemont, who has outscored opponents 103-0, will host Richards next week.
