Lemont Poms Rack Up First Place Finishes
Congratulate the girls and wish them luck as they look ahead to Sectionals.
Lemont High School's poms team took top prize at two recent IHSA dance competitions.
The girls finished in first place Saturday, Jan. 11 at Andrew High School, and Sunday, Jan. 12 at Wheaton North.
The team next competed Monday, Jan. 20 at Eisenhower High School, with Sectionals next up on Saturday, Jan. 25. If the team places in the top 6 there, they will advance to State championships in Bloomington on Jan. 31–Feb. 1.
Dance is in its second year as an IHSA-recognized sport.
