Lemont Basketball Stars Commit to Weatherford, Trinity Christian

Indians seniors Juozas Balciunas and Joe Hehir will become a Coyote and a Troll, respectively, as they move into college basketball.

Lemont High School seniors Juozas Balciunas and Joe Hehir have committed to college basketball programs, with Balciunas set to attend Weatherford (Texas) College and Hehir to play for the very local Trinity Christian College.

According to a Lemont High School press release, “Balciunas and Hehir have been two of the top competitors for head coach Rick Runaas as the Indians have enjoyed the most successful two-year run in program history,” going 48-7 over the 2011-2013 seasons and winning a share of the conference championship.

Balciunas, who averaged nearly 20 points and five assists per game for the Indians in 2012-2013, will play as a Coyote for head coach Mark Osina at Weatherford, a junior college located in Weatherford, Texas.
