The LEMONT LIGHTNING PART-TIME / FULL TIME TRAVEL TEAMS consist of competitive part-time and full-time travel baseball and fast pitch softball teams for boys and girls of the Lemont Baseball and Softball Club (LBSC) playing at ages 8 through 14 for boys and 9 through 16 for girls competing against teams from the geographic Chicagoland area. Lemont Lightning is a division within the LBSC and was formed to provide LBSC players the opportunity to experience travel ball.

Part-time travel players must remain a registered member of LBSC in-house league and actively participate with his/her regular-season LBSC team. Lightning games will be played within the Chicagoland Sunday Baseball Leagues on Sundays and Wednesdays. It is expected that the players will compete in approximately 15 Lightning and 15 LBSC in-house games. Additionally, these teams may participate in local tournaments through July. Players of the Part time travel team can participate on LBSC All Star teams.
Full-time travel players must remain a registered member of LBSC and to have played within the LBSC (formally Lemont Little League ) organization for at least two (2) years in the past or have played in the 2011 season. All games and tournaments should remain in the Chicagoland region and teams will be competing in an independent league such as the I-80 Baseball League. The season shall consist of approximately 25 games with additional tournaments through the end of July. Players on the Full time Lemont Lightning Travel team can not participate on any LBSC All Star teams.

Players need to try-out for the age attained on 4/30/12 for boy’s baseball and 12/31/11 for girl’s softball.
2013 Season Tryouts
Lightning Boys Baseball tryouts will be held on July 28th (except for the 9U which will be 8/4).
Lightning Girls Softball tryouts will be on 8/11. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

8U: 7/28 at Centennial East from 10:30am – 1:00pm
9U: 8/4 at The Bowl from 10:00am – 12:00pm
10U: 7/28 at Centennial North from 9:00am – 11:30am
11U: 7/28 at The Bowl from 10:00am – 12:00pm
12U: 7:28 at Bambrick B from 10:00am – 12:00pm
13U: 7/28 at Bambrick C from 9:00am – 12:00pm
14U: 7/28 at Bambrick A from 10:00am – 2:00pm
