LISLE, IL. – The Bulls/Sox Academy announced that they will be hosting their annual summer baseball camps at Centennial Park located at 127th St. in Lemont beginning Monday June 18th and will run through Friday June 22nd.

The Bulls/Sox Academy has improved the fundamentals of more than 50,000 players.  This summer, it’s your turn to
step up to the plate and train with the best! With programs for boys and girls at every age and ability level, our professional coaching staff will teach many training skills used by the Chicago White Sox.

The summer camps are in over 60 different communities throughout the Chicago area.  Every participant in the summer camp program receives six free White Sox tickets, an Academy hat, t-shirt and graduation certificate.  Restrictions apply to ticket vouchers. All athletes seven and older will also have their abilities tested in some of the same skills that pro scouts use to evaluate talent.  The Top 30 qualifiers in each age group will compete in the finals at U.S. Cellular Field in September at our Champions Day event.

The White Sox baseball summer camps are broken down into three different age levels.  The 5-6 year olds learn the basic fundamentals over a 2 and a half hour period from 1:00pm-3:30pm during the five day camp for a cost of $179. The 7-8 year olds participate in a three hour skills camp per day over five days from 1:00pm-4:00pm that focuses on the essential skills of baseball – hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, bunting and base running. This Sox Intermediate Camp gives players a foundation of
fundamentals to be successful on the field. The cost of the camp is $199.00. The 9-11 year olds participate in a three hour advanced skills camp per day over five days for three hours from 1:00pm-4:00pm. The camp refines the fundamentals with advanced hitting, throwing, and base-running techniques, team play, and other tips to advance the player to the next level also at a cost of $199.

The Bulls/Sox Academy opened in 2001 in Lisle, Illinois and runs extensive training programs for boys and girls from beginner to professional. There are additional
satellite Bulls/Sox Academies in Glen Ellyn, LaGrange, and Schererville, IN. For more information or to register for a summer camp, go to www.BullsSoxAcademy.com or call

Was there ever a time when a full day was offered Jennifer? I was in kindergarten at Oakwood aboutRead More 28 years ago and even then it was half day. If you want full day Kate, St Pats/St Al's, St Cyril's, and I'm sure others are full day.

Let's get real. It is NOT a half day. It is 2.5 hours. By the time kids into class, sing a song,Read More have a snack and pee, they are done for the day. Sorry. Calling a spade a spade on this one.

Is this question really from a teacher? Full-day kindergarTen has a lot of fillers too: they eatRead More lunch, go outside, go to the bathroom, etc. I don't think our public schools allow snacks in the classroom anyway. Any teacher would know that learning starts at home, and a teacher would know how to supplement a kindergarten curriculum.
