2 Lemont Bears Wrestlers to Compete at State Tourney
The organization will send two of its wrestlers to state this weekend, March 14–15.
The Lemont Bears Wrestling Club will be sending two of their wrestlers to the IKWF State Tournament in Rockford on Friday and Saturday, March 14–15.
Drew Nash went 2-1 on the day finishing in 2nd place in the 89-pound Novice (11 to 12-year-old) at the Central Chicago sectional held at Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago last Saturday, March 8. Frankie Montalto also went 2-1 on the day and finished in 2nd place in the 122-pound weight class.
Nash is 29-16 on the year with 16 pins. While Montalto, a first-year wrestler, is 13-5 on the year with 6 pins.

Several other Lemont Bears wrestlers just missed qualifying by finishing 4th at the sectional.
- Sam Andreotti: 4th place at 74 pounds Novice
- Apollo Gothard: 4th place at 115 pounds Novice
- Paul Mcgrath: 4th place at 74 pounds Senior
- Terry Kolacki: 4th place at 138 pounds Senior
