When and how did your business get started?

The business started in 1973 as a contract meat cutter to a major mail order meat company. Over time we started selling premium steaks and other meats to local customers and eventually expanded into the mail order food gifts business. In 1995 we acquired another food gift company, Entrees to Excellence, through which most of our marketing and sales efforts are conducted.

What is your business best known for?

Premium steaks and roasts, most notably our aged angus steaks. We recently added USDA prime steaks to our lineup of premium meats.

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?

The founder and his family were residents of Lemont. We had moved out of the area for approximately 10 years to a larger facility to meet demands of the market place. Recently, we moved back to Lemont to better serve our retail customers and take advantage of better logistics.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

A wide range of major companies, including a number of Fortune 500 companies, prefer the high quality of our steaks as business gifts and rewards for their valued customers, employees and associates. We ship our steaks, roasts, gift baskets and other gourmet treats anywhere in the United States.

Does your business offer a special deals card or program?

Not at this time. However, as we have a growing number of repeat customers, we are considering adding a loyalty program.
