Warrior Booster Club Announces Summer Basketball Camp

The annual camp is open to boys and girls in third through eighth grade, and will run Aug. 1-4.

The Warrior Booster Club will host a basketball camp this summer for boys and girls in third through eighth grade.

The camp will run Monday, Aug. 1, through Thursday, Aug. 4, at the , 16050 W. 127th St.

Sessions will be led by Jack Williams, head coach of the seventh and eighth grade basketball teams. He will be joined by coaches from Old Quarry and , as well as former varsity players.

Williams has been running the camp for the past eight years. This is the second year it is being run through the Warrior Booster Club.

The purpose of the camp is to work on fundamentals, team strategies and physical conditioning, Williams said.

Sessions will be held at the following times:

  • Third/Fourth grade: 9 am. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Fifth/Sixth grade: 10:30 a.m. to noon
  • Seventh/Eighth grade: Noon to 1:30 p.m.

Each session can only accommodate 50 campers, so Williams is encouraging parents to register their children as soon as possible.

The cost to register is $75. All proceeds will go toward lowering the costs of extracurricular activities at Old Quarry Middle School.

Checks can be made payable to the Warrior Booster Club, and must be mailed to Jack Williams at 5 Auburn Court in Lemont (60439).
