Vote in Contest to Win $100K for Lemont High School

State Farm's 'Celebrate My Drive' promotes safe teen driving, offers prizes to teen drivers, high schools.

Lemont High School is participating in State Farm’s "Celebrate My Drive" to promote safe teen driving. 

As a result of the promotion, which runs through Friday, State Farm Insurance will give away a $100,000 grant to the area high school that receives the most votes.

Anyone ages 14 years of age or older can participate, and voters do not have to attend LHS or live in the community.

Here’s how to vote to help LHS win:

  • Through Friday, go to www.celebratemydrive and register to vote. You can vote each day through Friday (one vote per email address). Each time you vote, you are also entered into a nationwide sweepstakes to win a car.
  • Head over to Yorktown Shopping Center at Highland Avenue and Butterfield Road in Lombard for the "Celebrate My Drive" on-site event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The fun and festivities will take place on the lower level near Marshalls/HomeGoods. Park near Lucky Strike and take the escalator down.

Participants in the "Celebrate My Drive" event at Yorktown will have an opportunity to vote one more time, and to be entered into the sweepstakes for the day. One lucky teen (ages 15 – 18) will win a car – and guests will have a chance to win premium prizes, from gift cards to Dr. Dre Beats.

The event will feature hands-on exhibits, roll-over and driving simulators, golf carts to simulate distracted/impaired driving and more.

Chicago Bulls star Taj Gibson will also be on hand from 2 to 4 p.m. and American Idol sensation Haley Reinhart will appear from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
