Students, Teachers Participate in PTO ‘Fun Run’

Walk/Run-a-thons at Oakwood and River Valley elementary raised money to benefit schools.

Students and teachers at Oakwood and River Valley elementary schools walked, skipped, hopped and ran Sept. 21 as they took part in the PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year - the Fun Run.

Participants reached out to family, friends, employers and neighbors for pledges to support the effort to benefit the Oakwood/River Valley PTO.

The PTO will use funds raised at the event to purchase electronic whiteboards and new playground equipment for Oakwood, as well as responders and document cameras related (related to electronic whiteboards) for River Valley.
